dc.description.abstractThis research is about to determine the drilling fluid composition will be used in Kahfi-18 well. The objective of this research is to design a drilling fluid system that meets the drilling operation requirements for four hole-sections and achieves the geological objective in Kahfi-18 well. Having analyzed the given data, drilling fluid type and the additives are selected. The selected composition is tested in the laboratory, which is followed by the evaluation of drilling fluid properties requirements for Kahfi-18 well. Furthermore, undesirable results are remixed. Results that meet the requirements to be used in Kahfi-18 well are seawater and Hi-Vis Sweep for 24" Hole-section, 3% KCl-Polymer for 17-1/2" Hole-section, seawater and Hi-Vis Sweep for 12-1/4" Hole-section, and Drill-in Fluid for 8-1/2" Hole-section.en_US
