    Abstract
Enhanced oil recovery methods are proven to increase oil recovery, one of which is surfactant injection. The use of surfactants serves to reduce the interfacial tension between oil and water and increase the mobility of oil trapped in rocks. Be-fore injection, laboratory testing is required to see the suitability of the surfactant with the Y-115 field reservoir and the performance of the surfactant that was tested. The tests consisted of compatibility test, IFT test, filtration test, adsorption test, thermal stability test, and spontaneous imbibition. The variables used were three types of anionic surfactants with varying concentrations from 0.1% to 1.2%. The three surfactants successfully reached the CMC point at a concentration of 0.8% for surfactants Y-1 and Y-2 and a concentration of 0.6% for surfactant Y-3. Surfactant Y-2 managed to achieve all the success parameters from the entire tests. Surfactant Y-2 was compatible with synthetic brine of Y-115 field, had the lowest adsorption value of 359 µg/g and remained at ultralow IFT for 2 months at reservoir temperature conditions. In the spontaneous imbibition test, the recovery factor of Y-2 surfactant solution at 0.8% concentration was 63%.
