Analisis Pengaruh Heat Treatment dan Variasi Sudut Tekuk Terhadap Ketahanan Intergranular Corrosion dan Stress Corrosion Cracking Stainless Steel 304
Abstract
Stainless Steel 304 is a material that is often used in various needs in the industrial world, especially the oil and gas industry. Stainless Steel 304 is often used in the industrial world, this is because Stainless Steel 304 has a relatively good cost and is suitable for use in pipes because it has good strength qualities. OK, the dimensions of the specimen used are 200 mm long, 25 mm wide and 5 mm high. This research was carried out to test the corrosion resistance of Stainless Steel 304 material. This research was carried out with several variations in the bending angle of the material, namely 0°, 90° and 180°, with a sensitization 700℃ with a time of 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes. .as well as corrosion testing using a chloride solution with varying concentrations of 3.5 wt%. Microstructural observations were carried out using a digital microscope with a total magnification of 500 times to see changes in the structure of the surface of Stainless Steel 304. Stainless Steel 304 has good corrosion resistance, but Stainless Steel 304 Continuously running high temperatures and experiencing excessive stress will reduce the corrosion resistance of Intergranular Corrosion and Stress Corrosion Cracking in Stainless Steel 304. OCP and LSV results were obtained on specimens that did not experience bending and a sensitization time of 30 minutes was 0.7037 V and 0.13935 V Meanwhile, in the specimen that experienced a sensitization time of 90 minutes with a bending angle of 180°, the OCP and LSV values were -0.85408 V and -1.33879 V. Then in the bending test carried out on the specimen that did not experience bending and the sensitization time was 30 minutes, the Max Strength and Max values were obtained. The bending moment was 58,499 Kn/〖cm〗^2and 24,369 kN.m, while the specimen bent 180° with a sensitization time of 180 minutes obtained Max Strength and Max Bending moment values of 31,307 Kn/〖cm〗^2 and 13,042 kN.m From the results obtained in the analysis, the bending angle and sensitization time greatly influence the corrosion resistance of Stainless Steel 304. This is because the longer the sensitization is experienced, the thicker the chromium at the grain boundaries will be and the greater the bending angle given, the specimen will experience damage. microstructure.
