    Abstract
Torque and drag are critical in directional drilling. Excessive torque and drag values can lead to problems during drilling operations. Therefore, this research was conducted to help drillers determine safe parameters for directional drilling. In order to look at how torque and drag change in well BGS-2, this study did a sensitivity analysis using Landmark Software on a number of parameters, such as friction factor (FF), weight on bit (WOB), heavy weight drill pipe (HWDP), drill collar (DC), and drill pipe (DP). The sensitivity analysis revealed that 25 joint drill collars produce a torque of 8,763.90 ft-lbf, while the drill collar generates the largest drag value of 154.1 klbs during the pick-up phase. This occurs due to the increase in the drill string load, which requires a significant amount of torque to rotate the drill string and a substantial amount of force to pull it out of the wellbore. For well BGS-2, a WOB value between 15 kip and 60 kip can be applied. Additionally, up to 25 joints of HWDP and DC, as well as S-grade drill pipe, can be used without encountering issues such as torque failure, buckling, or drill string breakage.
