Prediksi Kebocoran Pipa: Estimasi Waktu Kebocoran Pada Pipa X Berdasarkan Analisis Model Laju Korosi Di PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore Southeast Sumatra
Abstract
Corrosion in pipeline systems is a critical challenge in the oil and gas industry due to its potential to compromise operational safety, harm the environment, and cause significant economic losses. This internship project aimed to analyze corrosion rates and predict the leakage time of pipeline X, which connects ALFA and BETA platforms operated by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore Southeast Sumatra (PHE OSES). Simulations were conducted using the OLGA Simulator, employing two corrosion rate prediction models: NORSOK and de Waard. The simulation results indicated that the highest corrosion rate occurred at a pipeline length of 18,666 ft, with rates of 7.9145 mm/year (NORSOK) and 2.61151 mm/year (de Waard). Based on these rates, the estimated time to leakage was 3.13 years for the NORSOK model and 9.5 years for the de Waard model. The significant difference between the two predictions is attributed to the complexity and scope of parameters considered by each model. These findings provide better insight into critical points and pipeline lifespan, enabling the company to design more effective maintenance and mitigation strategies.
