    Abstract
The design of casing plays a vital role during the planning phase of oil and gas well development, serving to ensure operational safety, structural integrity, and efficiency. This research concentrates on the casing design for a J-Type R-90 well, characterized by a curved trajectory with a deviation angle reaching 90 degrees. The methodology involves analyzing formation pressure and calculating burst, collapse, and axial loads, all based on geological data and real-world field conditions. Findings indicate that the choice of casing is significantly affected by formation properties, the type of fluid produced, and specific operational demands. Simulation results demonstrate that selecting casing with suitable specifications effectively addresses technical challenges such as maintaining formation stability in critical sections and managing elevated pressures within the curved well path. Furthermore, the applied design approach enhances cost-effectiveness and minimizes the risk of operational failures. Overall, this study provides practical engineering insights for designing casing in J-Type wells and delivers strategic recommendations for the planning and development of similar well profiles in the future.
