dc.description.abstractTo support initiatives to reduce CO₂ emissions, the development of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) wells has become a strategic solution. Cement integrity in CCS wells must be maintained to ensure resistance to chemical reactions with CO₂. One of the factors that influences cement durability is fluid loss, as uncontrolled fluid loss can reduce hydrostatic pressure and trigger gas migration. This study aims to investigate the effect of varying latex additive concentrations in the cement slurry design on fluid loss reduction. Laboratory tests were carried out with test parameters including density, rheology, thickening time, fluid loss, and compressive strength. Based on the test results, the addition of latex at various concentrations proved effective in reducing fluid loss compared to the base slurry without latex, which is expected to help maintain hydrostatic pressure stability and enhance cement resistance to CO₂ exposure in CCS wells.en_US
