    Abstract
The oil and gas industry plays a crucial role in supporting national energy security and economic growth. However, the continuous depletion of fossil energy reserves necessitates a transition toward new and renewable energy (NRE) to ensure long-term energy sustainability. In oil and gas distribution processes, instrumentation and control systems are essential to maintain process parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and fluid level within safe and optimal limits. The implementation of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) as the main control system offers advantages in reliability, flexibility, and integration capability with SCADA/HMI systems for centralized real-time monitoring. Furthermore, the integration of alternative energy sources such as solar photovoltaic panels provides an efficient and environmentally friendly solution, especially for remote oil and gas facilities with limited access to conventional energy. Studies indicate that solar-based control systems can reduce operational costs by up to 80% and significantly decrease carbon emissions. Therefore, the design of a PLC-based control and monitoring system integrated with solar panels represents a strategic approach to achieving efficient, sustainable, and intelligent industrial operations aligned with Industry 4.0 principles.
