Casing is a primary component in well construction that functions to maintain wellbore stability, isolate formations, and ensure integrity and operational safety during drilling and production activities. Proper casing design is essential to prevent mechanical failure caused by pressure and axial loads acting throughout the well’s lifecycle. This study aims to design the casing configuration for Well IBZ-33 based on the analysis of major mechanical loads, namely burst, collapse, and axial loads, while considering pore pressure and fracture gradient as the basis for determining operational pressure limits. The design process was carried out by evaluating each casing interval through differential pressure and axial load calculations, which were then compared to pipe ratings in accordance with API (American Petroleum Institute) standards. The design parameters determined include casing size, weight (ppf), and material grade to ensure that all operating loads remain within safe limits. The results indicate that the proposed casing design is capable of withstanding burst, collapse, and axial loads within acceptable safety margins, thereby maintaining the integrity of Well IBZ-33 and serving as a reference for casing design in wells with similar geological and pressure characteristics.en_US
