As one of the critical roles in the drilling operation, pore pressure or formation pressure needs to predict accurately. A wrong pore pressure prediction can lead to many drilling problems such as fluid kick, lost circulation, surface blowout, underground blowout, and stuck pipes. Vice versa, those drilling problems can be avoided by using an accurate pore pressure prediction. This final project used pore pressure prediction developed by Eaton using wireline log data and validated with Final Well Report, including Mud Weight, Drilling Events, and Formation Pressure Test Data. This final project is intended to develop an Eaton’s pore pressure prediction model using sonic log and deep resistivity log for each well, determine the best fit Eaton exponent for sonic log and deep resistivity log Eaton’s pore pressure prediction model, and predict overpressure zone in the Sven field. The sensitivity of Eaton exponent for sonic log and deep resistivity log Eaton’s pore pressure prediction model has been performed in Sven Field and resulting in an accurate prediction of pore pressure profile.en_US
