Laurensius Calvin Christianto, 101116040, Identification of Lithology and Hydrocarbon Distribution at Poseidon Field, Browse Basin, Australia Using Elastic Impedance Inversion Method. The process of identifying the distribution of lithology and hydrocarbon fluids is one of the oil and gas exploration activities carried out to see the character of the rock layers in the formation of the research area. One of the methods used in this identification is the seismic inversion method. In this research, the elastic impedance inversion method will be applied to see the distribution of lithology and hydrocarbon fluid from the Plover formation in the Poseidon Field, Browse Basin, Australia. This elastic impedance inversion process will be carried out on three angle-stack data, namely near-stack, mid-stack, and far-stack. The information that will be generated is the distribution of elastic impedance values from each angle-stack. The results of the seismic inversion will be correlated with existing well data. Based on the sensitivity analysis, the lithology zone and hydrocarbon fluid can be distinguished from the elastic impedance value. From this research it is known that the gas distribution zone can be seen at the mid-stack angle with a value range of 33 - 38 ((m / s) * (g / cc)) and the distribution of sandstone lithology can be seen at the mid-stack and far-angle the stack. From the results of the elastic impedance mapping, it is obtained that the distribution of gas sand is in the west to the east of the research area.en_US
