dc.description.abstract | This design is about the comparison of the building design based on SNI 1726-2012 and SNI 2847-2013 with the latest SNI 1726-2019 and SNI 2847-2019 standards to know the differences in applicable regulations, especially the dimensional differences in column and beam cross-sections. The method used is a literature study and analysis using the SAP 2000 vs. 22 programs and verified by manual calculations on Microsoft Excel. The results showed that the building design according to SNI 2847-2013 and SNI 2847-2019 did not change much because the structural system used was still the same, namely SRPMK in the main structure. The biggest difference is caused by the latest standard of the earthquake, namely SNI 1726-2019, where with that standard many changes in the value of the earthquake coefficient, resulting in a larger structural base shear force. The greater of the shear force, making the cross-sectional dimensions of beams and columns must have been enlarged. The dimensions of the beam designed with the latest standard reached most 78% of the previous standard. Meanwhile, the dimensions of the column must be enlarged to reach 50% of the original dimension. This affects the diameter and the amount of reinforcement which must also have been enlarged.
