dc.description.abstract | MUHAMMAD FIRDAUS AL RISYAD. 101316138. Performance analysis of vertical and horizontal well
injection on waterflood for a homogeneous reservoir.
This research is about the design of horizontal and vertical water injection wells in a homogeneous
reservoir. This research was conducted on a homogeneous well with two scenarios, namely a reservoir with
low permeability and high permeability. To design this water injection, reservoir simulation CMG-IMEX
was used. The case scenarios operated with 4 injection wells and 1 production well, which each scenario
had 4 cases, namely: 4 vertical injection wells; 4 horizontal injection wells; 2 vertical injections and 2
horizontal (mixed) injections in parallel order; 2 vertical injections and 2 horizontal (mixed) injections in a
cross position
From this simulation, it is obtained from the graph of Oil Recovery Factor, Oil Rate, Cumulative Oil
Production, and also a watercut. Each case has a different yield in both the low permeability reservoir and
the high permeability reservoir. However, both reservoir scenarios have the same results, where the two
reservoirs have the best yields in case 1 (4 vertical wells) which have Oil Recovery Factor of 53.7% in low
permeability reservoirs and 64% in high permeability reservoirs. Meanwhile, the results of the mixed
injection (2 herozontal injections 2 vertical injections) both in the parallel and cross positions always had
less than optimal results. | en_US |
