    Abstract
    This observation is about designing a bottom hole assembly (BHA) in traditional way, which includes three types of assemblies, they are Pendulum, Fulcrum, and Packed Hole. Also, to find out more about working environment in PT. Halliburton Indonesia. And there are some purposes from this observation, they are to learn new skills that is acquired in the professional world, to learn about the culture, systems, and standards that is used in PT. Halliburton Indonesia, and to learn about directional drilling especially in terms of designing bottom hole assembly (BHA) and its components. And the results show that there are three types of assemblies that is used to build the angle, to drop the angle, and to maintain the angle. And it is all about the placement of the stabilizers, and the bit side force that is made.
