dc.description.abstract | The placement of cosmetic products at the Mitra Bojonegoro Store is considered not optimal. This can be seen from the slow process of product transfer at the time of the transaction. Therefore, a study is needed to evaluate the layout applied by the Bojonegoro Mitra Store so that the effectiveness and efficiency of the product display process can be achieved. This study limits the scope of the problem by only discussing the distance and time during product transfer, proposed layout, and efficiency. To obtain an optimal layout, this study applies the CRAFT algorithm. The CRAFT method is one of the improvements to the layout algorithm used in this study which provides the best solution in rearranging the layout of the company. The results of the analysis show that the total product displacement distance using the initial layout is 194.5 meters with a total duration of 992 seconds or about 17 minutes. After repairs and adjustments were made to each department using the CRAFT Algorithm, the total displacement distance was 112.5 meters with a total time of 555 seconds (9 minutes) resulting in a distance efficiency of 42.15% and a time efficiency of 44.05%.
