dc.description.abstract | The Central Sumatra Basin is the largest tertiary sedimentary basin that produces hydrocarbons in Indonesia. This basin is mature, but further analysis is needed to see new potential areas for hydrocarbons. Therefore, this study was made to obtain an overview of the subsurface of the Central Sumatra Basin, by interpreting seismic data. The research is limited to Area 4, namely SB 15.5, 16.5, 17, 21, 22, 25.5. Seismic interpretation is a subsurface modeling activity based on acquired seismic data. In order to obtain accurate results, bindings are performed with well log data. After various stages of processing, it was concluded that the research area was controlled by 3 structural phases, namely the rift phase, the sag phase, and the compressional phase. Then based on the analysis of the well, the hydrocarbon prospects are obtained in the form of source rock at SB 25.5 and reservoir at SB 15.5-22. The hydrocarbon trap is a structural trap. | en_US |
