    Abstract
Petroleum production is the process by which oil is lifted from the reservoir to the surface. In this process, the oil will pass through the well facilities starting from tubing to the gathering station where the oil pressure from the reservoir will be changed from the conditions on the surface. This pressure drop will affect the production oil flow rate. Therefore, in this study, the authors analyzed the effect of the pressure drop along the flowline to the stock-tank on the decline in the rate of crude oil production. The data processing method used in the SAN well of the TM reservoir is the testing of the sensitivity of the diameter and elevation of the pipe to the changes in pressure drop in the offshore well operation, as well as analyzing the effect of the flow regime on the pipe. A larger pipe diameter will produce a larger flow rate, which will give a higher pressure drop effect, and vice versa for a smaller pipe diameter. Pipes with higher elevations have the effect of increasing pressure drop, where the production flow rate will get lower. The SAN well which is located at offshore well has a riser that connects the pipe on the seabed to the surface, this causes the fluid flow in the pipe to be in the form a slug flow. The slug flow will give several effects of the pressure drop changes.
