Pyrolysis of brominated high impact polystyrene in presence of polyolefins has been done. The pyrolysis products were analysed with GC/TCD, GC/FID, GC/MSDand GC/ECD. It was found that interaction occurs between brominated high impact polystyrene and polyolefins on composition and material balance of pyrolysis products.Analysis of bromine compounds showed that the presence of polyolefins led to an increase the concentration of alkyl and vinyl mono-substitued benzene rings in liquid products. Antimony trioxide had small impact on liquid products but suppressed the formation of styrene and alpha-methyl styrene and increased the formation of ethylbenzene and cumene in liquid products.
