dc.description.abstract | The utilization of durian peels to produce briquette as a solid biofuel has been investigated. This work involved densification process and characterization of briquette from the durian peel in terms of its proximate analysis, calorific value and compressive strength. Densification of durian peels were conducted without adhesive materials. The durian peel briquette was produced by pressing a cylinder mold inside a hydraulic press using a force of 40 tons. Calorific value for durian briquette is valued at 23.65 MJ/kg. Moisture content is 4.67 % and ash content is 3.15 %. The significant of calorific value from durian peel briquette seems to be used as a solid biofuel. | en_US |
