This final project discusses the torque and drag modeling of S-type directional drilling wells in the WQ-1 and WQ-2 well of Waqi Field's. Simulation modeling is performed using simulator software to obtain the friction factor simulation value with the input parameters known, which will then be history matched to the torsion results that are close to the actual field data during drilling operation. The WQ-1 well's open hole in the 12,25 inch section will be the subject of the initial modeling to calculate the friction factor value. The output operating parameters will be examined for the WQ-2 well drillability analysis, which has an added depth of 1500 meter with the same well characteristics and string configuration as the WQ-1 well. The objective is to determine whether the previous well's operating parameters can be applied after inserting a new well's depth or not. The research showed several drilling problems, such as torque failure during the tripping in and tripping out operations on the 5 "#21.92 CS API 5D/7 drill pipe - G. In order to solve this issue, it is advised to control the mechanical strength design by switching the drill pipe grade to DP 5" #21.92 CS API 5D/7 – S. The other method involves lowering the value of the friction factor open hole to 0,20 by switching from water-based mud to oil-based mud, and the last including hole cleaning actions while drilling in real-time conditions. The problem of torque failure will be solved by selecting one of these methods.en_US
