dc.description.abstract | This study discusses about the common problem in gas well, which is liquid loading. BS field
is a field with gas-condensate reservoir and with five producing well. A production simulation
has been done for 40 year to see the depletion profile of reservoir pressure and gas rate. The
purposes of this study are to predict when the BS-1 well will be liquid loaded and to plan the
best deliquification techniques to overcome the liquid loading problem. The critical gas
velocity/rate by Turner (1969) and Guo (2006) will be used to predict the liquid loading. The
result of this study shown that well BS-1 will be liquid loaded in the 33rd year of the well
producing. After determining the liquid loading, the deliquification techniques is carried out to
overcome the liquid loading. An artificial lift, Sucker rod pump is selected for use in the well.
The result of the installation of the sucker rod pump is the increasing of the gas rate up to 130%.
