The gravity method is a geophysical method that is very reliable in mapping subsurface laterally, which can delineate the geological objects such as geological structure, such as geological objects with specific density. The development of technology encourages us to produce a data processing technique that is more efficient both in terms of time and the results obtained, especially in processing gravity data. There are some purposes of this study are to apply an anomaly separation method that is not widely known, namely the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) method on gravity data in the Ciseeng area, West Java, and to compare the process of separating gravity anomalies using the SVD and moving average methods. The research data used are primary data derived from the results of gravity measurements in the Ciseeng area, West Java, and secondary data in the form of synthetic data, in the form of two synthetic models. Synthetic data is needed to validate the use of the SVD method in separating anomalies in the Ciseeng area and their comparison using the moving average method. Based on the data processing shows that the SVD method can be used in separating regional and residual anomalies that can be faster than the moving average. And suitable for use in areas with a high level of complexity.en_US
