    Abstract
Palm oil is considered as the most promising renewable resources for the production of biolubricant due to their high availability non-toxic, biodegradable and metal adhering properties. The main purpose of this research is to study the synthesis of biolubricant from palm kemel oil. The synthesis of PKO was performed by esterification method at 150'C utilizing synthetic modified of Y-zeolite in the presence of FeC13. Appiication of the synthetic zeolite has a role for determine the synthesis parameter of biolubricant such as route of synthesis from PKO. The biolubricant produced by synthesized using a 57o ratio FeO/HY catalyst at 50 'C for 3 h through a one-route esterification reaction namely BP150-Fe5. The biolubricant product formed ester compound such as 2-hydroxyl ester teffadecanoic acid from gas chromatography analysis. The thermal degradation of biolubricant reached to a temperature of 372.90'C for BPl50-Fe5 product and a viscosity value of 17.16 cSt. The current results revealed that the palm kemel oil has potential to be optimized as a biolubricant in the presence of modified Y-zeoiite.
