    Abstract
Hisyam Rafif. 101318021. ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF PIPE DIAMETER AND RISER BASE GAS INJECTION ON SLUG CHARACTERISTICS IN PIPELINES ON SELA-KITA PLATFORM. This research includes observing the potential for slug emergence in the pipeline between the riser-based platforms SELA-KITA. This study aims to find out how the influence of variations in pipe diameter as a production system design parameter on the potential for slug emergence, application of riser base gas injection as a slug mitigation measure, and observe how the combination of the two minimizes the potential for slug appearance along the pipeline. This research was conducted through OLGA simulation with Multiflash fluid modeling, with data sources from GMJ Global Energy Ltd. company. This type of research is quantitative and comparative. Quantitative research is represented by the calculations involved in model test simulations on OLGA software, while comparative research uses the results from simulations of various test scenarios. The final results of this study indicate that the increase in pipe diameter also contributes to eliminating the potential for slugging to occur, to a certain extent the increase in pipe diameter does not significantly affect the increase in slug mitigation. The combination application with riser base gas injection at SELA base shows even better slugging elimination.
