Dynamic Reservoir Simulation for Condensate Gas Reservoir in East Side of UP Sand Using tNavigator Simulator
Abstract
This research is about the reservoir simulation of UP Sand, a reservoir located at Quokka Field, Natuna. UP Sand is classified as a Condensate-Gas Reservoir with a gas-oil ratio exceeding 78000 scf/bbl. The objectives of this research are to generate a simulation of UP Sand that accurately represents reservoir performance and overcomes uncertainties within. Additionally, this research aims to determine which parameter changes that affect the History Matching process which is also part of the reservoir simulation process. Methods involved in this research consist of literature study, continued by fluid characterization, initialization of the simulation, and performing History Matching. As a result, dynamic reservoir simulation model was constructed and matches the actual conditions with a GIIP of 305.03 BCF and an error of 0.77% according to volumetric calculation. Furthermore, the History Matching process has been performed, revealing several parameters that influence its outcome, namely the End-point of Relative Permeability, and Permeability along the X, Y, and Z axes. In addition, the parameter with the greatest impact on the History Matching process is determined to be Permeability along the X and Y axes.
